A Beautiful Frosty Winter
The Beautiful Frosty
Winter
It was cold. It was frozen. You feel like hot chocolate. You look outside, and start to shiver. The grass was snowy white, the trees had no leaves, and the sky filled with white-silver clouds and started to drizzle with different looks of crossed snowflakes!
Was it Winter?Oh yes!Oh yes!It was winter. Play in the snow the whole day. The sunrise was coming, I’d better start, before it all goes away.
Senses
How should I describe it?Cold?Slippery?Let’s wait and see!
The beautiful grass of Spring and Summer has turned up with icy cold snow. The snowflakes floating down tasted like an ice block that’s slim and thin. The snow on the concrete made my hands feel numb. The wind was so loud that it sounded like dingling bells. It was as loud as a wolf’s howling. The people’s drinking hot chocolate smelt like marshmallow perfume that was springing into the air and going down the hallways.Delicious!
I can’t wait for next Winter! Will it be the same or is it going to be different to this Winter? Is the grass going to turn into ice and does that mean I could go ice skating?

The BFG Book!
Reading Week 1 Term 4- The BFG Chapter 1 and 2
Knowledge A.
- The BFG stands for Big Friendly Giant.
- The main character’s name is Sophie.
- The moonbeam is called the witching hour.
- The giant’s nose is long and pointy.
- The moonbeam was brighter than ever.
Comprehension B.
The text is fiction because it is a made up story. For example picture books are children’s books, so they should be made up. That is fiction.
Application A.

- Have you made any new books?
- Do you still write books?
- Who have you wrote books with?
- How many books have you made?

Evaluation B.
I rate this text a 10/ten because it sounds great, it has describing words and I like it because it has a movie for it.
Extension Task
Number it!
A brilliant moonbeam was slanting through a gap in the curtains.
Sophie closed her eyes and lay quite still.
Sophie couldn’t sleep.
The other children have been asleep for hours.
It was shining right onto her pillow.

Analysis
What I like about the cover of the book Willbee the Bumblebee is that it has pictures because for children to see what the characters are doing. Also for children to look and learn about the story. I think that they have used all those pictures, colours and text because children who read it might get interested and imagine if it was a movie.

What is Writing?
All About Writing
By Juleana Nacion
Writing is all about putting ideas into sentences and talking about what you did, when you did it, who you did it with, how you do it, and why you did it.These things help you explain your writing.
You can do it in a writing book, on a whiteboard, or if you have a google account, you can do it in docs. Writing can be about your favourite movie/book character, write about anything in your imagination. You can also draw a picture above your writing or below. When you are writing in a book, use a pen. But when you’re drawing, use a pencil.
To make a very descriptive and accurate writing, you add adjectives. These little fellas are important to add. Adjectives are about making boring words into great words. For example, you could describe the word “good” like this: fantastically good, and that’s how you do it! Isn’t it wonderful!
There’s another thing that’s also important.Full stops and capitals. At the start of each sentence, there is always a capital! No capital is a stupendous fail. The last thing is the full stop. The full stop is always at the end of a sentence. If you can’t find one at the end of a sentence, you are a big failure. You should never forget these things.
The last thing is to stay calm and focused so you can finish straight away. If you make a mistake, don’t panic!
I love writing!
